Hey guys, what’s up? I’m Ines—author, screenwriter, teacher, and your guide to writing binge-worthy novels that readers can’t put down.
I’m a multi-six-figure, full-time author (yep, all from indie book royalties). But I didn’t start out that way.
From TV Writer to Romance Novelist
Before I was writing novels, I was a television producer and writer. My job was to tell compelling stories that could hold viewers’ attention week after week, season after season. Television taught me how to master pacing, structure, and storytelling efficiency—and those lessons stayed with me when I transitioned to novels.
But let me tell you, my path to becoming a full-time author wasn’t smooth.
For years, I was stuck pulling in three- and four-figure royalties annually. My reviews were sparse or nonexistent, and my sell-through between books was dismal. I loved writing romance novels, but something wasn’t clicking.
Finally, it hit me: what if I took the techniques I’d mastered in TV—pacing, plotting, and episodic structure—and applied them to my books?
The results were transformative.
By focusing on what readers want and using pacing techniques that mirror the addictive flow of television, I went from struggling to thriving. Now, I write multiple books a year, and my royalties reflect the kind of success I always dreamed of.
Now I Help Authors Like You
These days, I teach fiction authors how to write the kinds of books that readers devour in one sitting and rave about to their friends. And, that doesn't slow down my writing and publishing pipeline. I publish about a book a month across two pen names, because that's just my speed. Hey, I used to write thirteen episodes a season in much less time!
My program, Page Turner Pacing, isn’t like other craft courses. (OMG did I just write that? I'm not like other girls, I'm the chosen one 😂 ). Page Turner Pacing is designed to help you craft your own plotting system—one tailored to your genre, subgenre, and readers.
If you're a pantser, don't freak out on me. Plot is a noun first. All books have them. You do NOT need to outline if you don't want to. But I believe you should strengthen your storytelling prowess by studying plot structures. I also believe that you don't have to follow a singular plot structure from beginning to end. Personally I mix and match plot points, genre beats, and story tropes to strengthen whatever tale I'm telling. And that's what I teach in Page Turner Pacing; how to be a plotwhore.
Who’s This Course For?
No matter where you are in your writing journey, Page Turner Pacing has something for you:
Aspiring or seasoned novelists looking to hone their skills.
Genre fiction authors looking to add romantic subplots to their stories.
Pantsers who want structure without sacrificing their creativity (don’t tune out because I said “plot!”).
Plotters who want to increase productivity and get more books out to readers.
If you’ve ever felt stuck—whether in the middle of a manuscript or in your career—I’m here to tell you that the skills to succeed are learnable and repeatable.
Why I’m the Right Teacher for You
In television, writers don’t work alone. We write in a round table with other creatives, bouncing ideas off each other and strengthening the story as a team.
Novel writing is so solitary by comparison, but it doesn’t have to be. One of my secrets to success is that I’ve recreated the writers’ table for novelists. I write with other authors daily, and it’s a game-changer.
Page Turner Pacing has a cohort option. When you join a Page Turner Pacing cohort, you’re not just learning from me—you’re joining a community of writers who are all working toward the same goal: crafting stories that readers love.
What’s Next?
You could spend hours digging through outdated screenwriting books, trying to piece together what works. Or you could join my program and learn directly from me—a TV writer turned author who’s been in the trenches and come out the other side.
