You’ve probably heard the phrase “take my advice with a grain of salt.” Well, here’s my grain of salt: my number one Clifton Strength is Discipline. Yup, that's right. #1 Discipline.
What does that mean? It means I’m the kind of person who thrives on routine. I wear the same clothes, eat the same meals, and my planner looks the same today as it did yesterday as it will tomorrow.
Every day, I sit down and write (or revise) four chapters. It’s my pace. Occasionally, I get wild and crank out six chapters because I’m so close to the end, but mostly, my days look the same. For me, that’s comforting. It works.
I know not everyone is wired like me. Maybe your author life is much more chaotic. Maybe your writing schedule doesn’t fit into neat little boxes. You might wake up not knowing what day of the week it is. Or maybe you binge-write for a week straight, then take a month off. Perhaps you only write on weekends. Or you only write whenever inspiration strikes.
Guess what? That’s all a pattern.
I hear people say, “I’m not disciplined like you.” But I don’t buy that. Your discipline just looks different. It's sexier than mine with all those wardrobe changes and adventurous meals and spontaneous plans!
Your responsibility is to figure out how it shows up for you—WHEN do you sit down at the page? HOW LONG do you stay at the keyboard? WHY do you step away when you do?
The Page Turner Pacing Method is built on patterns: spotting them, understanding them, and gaming them to your advantage. I’ll teach you how to find the patterns in television and film that hook viewers and keep them coming back for more—and show you how to apply those same principles to your books.
But how and when you apply these lessons? That’s up to you. Personally, I need about 21 days to write (and revise) a book. Did she just say 21 days? WTF? How many pages? I'll get to that -stay tuned.
If you’re ready to work with your unique rhythm, not against it, join me in this course. Let’s figure out your pattern, embrace your discipline (yes, you have it!), and start writing stories readers can’t put down.

Appreciate the insights on recognizing patterns. I'm currently documenting my journey of building discipline and this adds a valuable perspective.
